Your lakefront escape under the darkest skies in North America.
Five handcrafted homes on Clearwater Lake. Private hot tubs. Nordic spa. Year-round. Adults only (19+). Pet-friendly.
Welcome to Tiny Village & Marina, a family-built lakefront retreat on the shores of Clearwater Lake in Clare, Nova Scotia.
What began as a piece of paradise purchased by one family in 1958 has grown, by hand and with heart, into a collection of five thoughtfully designed homes, each with a private hot tub and access to our growing Nordic spa.
This is a place for adults seeking genuine rest. Soak in your private hot tub under a sky full of stars. Warm up in the wood-burning sauna, then take a cold plunge in the lake. Paddle out at dawn. Read by the fire. Let the quiet settle in.
We’re nestled within the Acadian Skies & Mi’kmaq Lands Starlight Reserve — the first in North America, and one of only four places in the world to hold both a Starlight Reserve and Tourist Destination designation.
On a clear night, the Milky Way stretches directly overhead. It’s the kind of sky that changes how you feel about everything.
Our Accommodations
Three cozy tiny homes and two larger lakefront cottages, each with a private electric hot tub, full kitchen, Wi-Fi, and free parking. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend or a solo reset, there’s a home that fits.
The Nordic Spa Experience
Our thermal circuit is built for restoration. Move between the heat of the wood-burning sauna and wood-fired hot tub, the shock of a cold plunge, and the deep calm of rest by the fire. Repeat three times and feel the difference.
Thermotherapy has been practiced for over 2,000 years —we’ve brought it lakeside.
Move, Breathe, Unwind
Step into the studio and take a moment for yourself.
Join a class that energizes you, grounds you, or helps you slow things down — whatever your body is asking for that day.
From strength and Pilates to yoga and breathwork, each session is designed to meet you where you’re at.
Or explore our wellness events — intimate gatherings, workshops, and experiences that add something extra to your stay.
Whether you’re here for a reset, a boost of energy, or a deeper exhale, there’s something waiting for you inside the studio.
Summer brings kayaks, paddleboards, and long evenings by the firepit.
Fall colours light up the lake.
Winter means skating on the cove, steaming hot tubs, and the darkest, clearest skies of the year.
Spring arrives quietly, with birdsong and mist on the water.
Tiny Village is open year-round because every season here has something worth coming for.
